JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bioinformatic/Data Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in precision medicine. In this role, you will help develop and optimize advanced statistical and computational models, working at the intersection of data engineering and biomedical research. Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects on biomedical data to support personalized cancer diagnoses and treatments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced models for precision medicine, with a strong focus on computational models for sequencing data.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to process and integrate diverse biological datasets, supporting applications in precision oncology.
  • Optimize algorithms and data workflows for performance, efficiency, and scalability in high-throughput computational environments.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; experience in academic research or health-tech projects is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in statistic, machine learning/deep learning, particularly in modeling with biological (e.g. sequencing) data.
  • Strong motivation and willingness to learn biological concepts to meet project requirements.
  • Hands-on experience working with high-performance computing (HPC) environments for large-scale data processing.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.


Other requirements:

  • Outstanding collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including biologists, clinicians, and engineers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong passion for applying AI to advance precision medicine and improve patient outcomes.
