Middle Data Analyst

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 Build and rollout of value-driven digital applications.

 Build end-to-end data workflows.

 Enable data for big data compute and processing

 Support and maintain all data repository to ensure all data are properly catalogued and identified

 Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested

capabilities

 Convert problem discovery into valuable applications through writing code with a specialisation in

Data Engineering, Data Pipeline and Data Architecture.

 Development, customization and monitoring of ETL processes using the latest cloud technologies

(MS Azure);

 Design, implementation and maintenance of data integration routes and reusable data services as part

of a company-wide data architecture structuring;

 Interact with technical and non-technical SFL departments to lead problem discovery and solution

exploration activities.

 Collaboration in interdisciplinary, agile project teams.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Data Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering,

Computer Science). An advanced degree in a related area is an asset.

 Good at PowerBI tool

 Minimum 2 years of being in big data engineer role. Work on collecting, storing, processing, and

analyzing of huge sets of data from various sources.

 3+ years experience in database engine: MS SQL, Data virtualization (Denodo)

 Familiar with using data processing platforms and tools like Azure Data Factory

 Good knowledge of object-oriented programming language (Python preferably);

 Proven experience working with Cloud Environments (Azure preferably);

 Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala

 Know-how and practical experience with IoT, machine connectivity and messaging infrastructure

(NATS.io, e.g.)

 Well knowledge of DWH (design, operation, security)

 Project management activities involvement

 Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (Desktop, Service,

and Paginated Reports)

• Perform semantic modeling, create data flows, and design efficient data models for reporting

• Analyze data using SQL and DAX to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders

• Optimize Power BI report performance to ensure scalability and usability

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into data

driven solutions

• Ensure data governance and security in all reporting solutions

• Support users and provide training or mentoring on Power BI reports and dashboards

• Participate in discussions on Power BI design and architecture to align with enterprise

standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields

•4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analysis

• Strong experience with Power BI (Desktop, Paginated Reports & Service)

• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis using DAX

• Good understanding of database concepts, data warehousing, and ETL processes

• Solid skills in data visualization, semantic modeling, and report design

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in dynamic environments

• Good English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have

• Experience in report performance optimization and large-scale BI solutions

• Understanding of data governance and enterprise-level security concepts

• Experience mentoring junior team members or leading small BI initiatives
