Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Data Warehouse solutions built on Oracle technologies.
• Create and optimise SQL and PL/SQL code to process and transform large volumes of data.
• Build and maintain data pipelines from source systems through staging, dimensional and reporting layers.
• Deliver high-quality solutions through testing, code reviews and deployment activities.
• Manage releases and support deployments across development, testing and production environments.
• Monitor production systems, investigate incidents and identify root causes of data issues.
• Contribute to data modelling and solution design.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Support operational excellence through continuous improvement of processes, tools and standards.
• Mentor junior team members and help grow technical expertise across the team.

Your Experience and Skills

• Strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Experience working within Data Warehouse or Data Engineering environments.
• Understanding of ETL processes, data integration and data modelling principles.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience performing code reviews and supporting less experienced colleagues.
