Data and data quality are becoming increasingly important to Financial Institutions. Our ability to accurately, successfully, and fully accomplish business initiatives and meet regulatory requirements is becoming more and more dependent on our ability to source, manage and maintain both our data and data quality.
Alveo (formerly known as Asset Control) is the application of choice for the Financial Markets business for market data. The firm has made an ongoing decision that it also wants to consolidate instrument reference and Market Data onto the same platform.
To Ensure This Ongoing Programme Is a Success And That The Company Objectives Are Achieved, The Financial Markets (FM) Tech Is Looking For An Experienced, Hands-on Candidate To Fill The Role Of Asset Control Developer. The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include:
- Experience with Asset Control Plus is must & have worked upon market data platform.
- Experience in AC Data model, AC workflow, Formula Engine, AC Contour.
- Should have worked with Asset Control provided Bloomberg, Reuters & other interfaces.
- Good Understanding of Validation rules and normalization process.
- Active Unix, Linux experience required, Familiar with shell programming.
- Good knowledge of Python and Perl scripting.
- Experience with RDBMS, preferably Oracle/Sybase.
- Understand Spring boot and Microservices is a mandatory.
- Support the transition to BAU teams to ensure operational readiness.
- Contribute to establishing data management governance best practices specifically in the Asset Control estate, and more generally across the wider team.
- Clouds and Devops experience are preferred.
- Prepare solution design document for optimising data provision and consumption.
- Work closely with Asset Control product Architect to drive strategic solutions / proposals aligned with the product roadmap – focusing on long term efficiency, risk reduction, regulatory compliance and lowering time-to-market for meeting tech initiatives

- Lead the squad in the continuous improvement of operational efficiency and effectiveness of the squad’s processes.
- Influence and contribute to solution design & evolution of the data platform to meet business needs in a scalable, flexible & sustainable manner.
- Understand and proactively adopt the New Ways of Working
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders on tech design proposal.
- Responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks arising from the implementation of new data flows.
- Accountable for putting in place appropriate control measures and operating processes to mitigate risks
- Ensure that outcomes delivered, including necessary controls are fit for purpose.
- Ensure adherence to the Bank’s project and change management governance processes
