Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications
- Write clean, maintainable code following established best practices and coding standards
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior developers
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements
- Contribute to internal tools, automation scripts, and process improvements
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and development notes
- Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Solid understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#)
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and REST APIs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js preferred
- Exposure to back-end development with Node.js, Django, Spring Boot, or similar preferred
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) preferred
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies preferred
- Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in a software development setting preferred
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices preferred
- Operates in both a professional and/or business casual environment.
