Location: Corning, NY 14831 or Charlotte, NC 28216
Work Model: Onsite/Hybrid
Duration: 06+ Months Contract | High Possibility of Extension
We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse & BI Engineer to support a manufacturing environment and deliver scalable data warehouse, business intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, DBAs, and manufacturing operations to transform complex data requirements into reliable and impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Warehouse, BI, Reporting, and Analytics solutions
- Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data warehouse solutions
- Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts
- Design, build, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS
- Develop and support SSRS and Power BI reports/dashboards
- Troubleshoot data issues, stored procedures, ETL processes, and reporting solutions
- Perform SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and indexing
- Partner with DBAs to monitor database/server health and improve performance
- Support data migration activities and develop migration scripts
- Contribute to scalable and maintainable Data Warehouse architecture
- Follow SDLC, version control, and development best practices
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
- Provide operational support for business-critical applications and global environments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence experience
- 5+ years of Microsoft BI technologies: SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
- Strong T-SQL development experience
- Experience with stored procedures, functions, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Strong experience with ETL and Data Warehouse development
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools
- Experience working within an SDLC environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing / factory-floor systems experience
- Experience with Camstar or other MES platforms
- Knowledge of MES, CMMS, SPC, and OSI PI data models
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- TFS, GitLab, or similar source-control experience
- Understanding of OLTP vs. OLAP architectures
- Experience with cubes and complex reporting/information models
- Experience supporting BI solutions in regulated or operationally sensitive environments
