Sr. AI Platform Engineer (Cloud & Database)

Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire
Compensation: $140k-195k Base + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Fort Collins, CO (if on-site)
Remote State Eligibility: CA, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, MN, MS, NC, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WA

We are seeking a hands-on Senior AI Platform Engineer with deep Cloud Engineering expertise and strong database and networking knowledge. You will help build and modernize scalable cloud infrastructure while creating reusable, automated platform capabilities.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Platform, Cloud, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS, Azure, or GCP experience.
• 3+ years of infrastructure automation/IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• 3+ years working with database infrastructure, networking, or SRE/reliability in production environments.
• 1+ year using AI/LLMs, AI agents, or AI-driven automation in professional engineering workflows.
• Experience architecting or significantly modernizing cloud/platform environments.
  

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build scalable cloud infrastructure for highly available, payment-critical workloads.
• Design platform capabilities spanning cloud, database, networking, reliability, and infrastructure automation.
• Create reusable self-service tooling, guardrails, and infrastructure patterns for application teams.
• Automate provisioning, operations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure workflows using AI and agentic solutions.
• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, security, and cost as the platform grows.

Ideal Profile:

• Your strongest area is Cloud/Platform Engineering, complemented by meaningful Database and Network expertise.
• You have built platforms rather than simply maintained them, can make architectural decisions across infrastructure layers, and naturally look for ways to turn manual engineering work into reusable, automated, AI-driven capabilities.
