Senior Data Engineer (Azure) – 12-Month Daily Rate Contract

Location: Ireland (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 Months

Rate: €625–€650 per day

We're partnering with a leading organisation to hire an experienced Senior Data Engineer for an initial 12-month daily rate contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing data engineering team delivering scalable, cloud-based data solutions using the Microsoft Azure platform.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building robust data pipelines, solving complex engineering challenges, and and working collaboratively within an agile environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks (PySpark) and Azure Data Lake.
• Build and support event-driven and streaming data ingestion solutions using technologies such as Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or similar platforms.
• Develop reliable ETL/ELT processes with a focus on data quality, performance, and operational resilience.
• Optimise Spark workloads to improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Experience building data solutions on Azure Data Lake.
• Practical experience implementing streaming or event-based data pipelines using Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or similar technologies.
