Seeking a Senior RDBMS Database Admin Engineer to manage technical projects. Position is in Buffalo NY / Full Time / $65-HR / 1 year Contract w/extension options.


NOTE: This is a senior level engineering role verses a Database Administrator; must have tenured experience with audits, server/cloud deployment, designing, developing, and optimizing database systems including SQL queries, and database modeling.

Job Data “At-A-Glance”:

  • Design and implement RDBMS DB structures for new applications and existing applications
  • Will communication w/Stakeholders and other technical departments for success project analysis
  • Attend regular weekly meetings for updates and status reports
  • Support deployments and audit management
  • Database maintenance tasks; creating backup copies, restoring databases, and purging data
  • Monitor RDBMS database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions
  • Develop and manage data modeling and design standards
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development


Career Skills & Experience:

  • AS degree and 8 - 10 years RDBMS experience, OR in lieu of a degree, years higher education and/or work experience and 8 years RDBMS experience.
  • Senior-level leadership proven experience working on multiple RDBMS projects of a complex nature.
  • Experience leading large system and RDBMS enhancements, conversions, and production problem resolution.
  • Strong project leadership abilities and task management skills.
  • Mastery with RDBMS skills, tools and functions and familiarity.
  • BS degree or Masters degree in technical studies is preferred.
  • Banking industry career history is preferred.
  • CAPPM experience is ideal.
