The Main Event: What you'll do
Huspy is seeking a versatile Junior Financial Accountant in Madrid to join our FinOps team. In this role, you will support the day to day financial operations of the business and contribute to the company's growth and expansion across Europe.
- Support the revenue process, including invoicing, reporting, reconciliations and revenue tracking.
- Manage COGS processes, incouding commission approvals based on commission structures and ensuring correct cost allocation.
- Support OPEX processes by identifying, reconciling and correctly allocation operating expenses related to expansion, marketing, facilities, people, central tools and professional fees.
- Improve internal controls and support the automation of financial processes.
- Collaborate internally with Key Account Managers across cities as well as stakeholders from the Marketing, Launch, Facilities, People, Supply and Operations departments.
- Manager external interactions with collaborators and suppliers.
- 1+ year of experience in similar finance/accounting roles.
- Experience in Spain is required. Additional European exposure is a plus.
- Must speak English and Spanish.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Startup experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and work proactively with various teams across the company.
- Local tax knowledge is a plus.
- Strong Google Sheets skills including pivot tables, queries and VLOOKUPs.
