A Senior Technical Consultant is a member of Workday’s Global Professional Services organization dedicated to the implementation of our cloud-based software within the APAC Technical Services Organisation. We help customers make the most of the Workday platform!
The APAC Technical Services team is responsible for the Data Conversion, Integration, and Extend workstreams on Workday implementation projects. About The Role
A Senior Technical Consultant plays a key role in delivering successful Workday deployments by leading the data conversion workstream across the full project lifecycle.
The role partners closely with both customer and the project team, including project management, functional & technical consultants, to define the conversion approach, extract and transform legacy data, migrate configuration, and load accurate data into Workday. This position requires strong technical problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of data conversion processes, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The consultant helps customers understand data requirements, prepare legacy data, resolve conversion challenges, and adopt Workday implementation best practices. Success in this role depends on being self-motivated, customer-focused, organized, and reliable, with strong follow-through and consulting skills. This role also offers the opportunity to develop functional expertise across Workday areas such as HCM, Payroll, and Financials while contributing to high-quality customer outcomes.
About You

Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of data migration, integration development, report building, or software development
- 6+ years of experience with technical consulting, requirements gathering, or solution design
- 6+ years of Human Resource, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain, or Student domain experience
- Ability to obtain, hold and maintain a security clearance to the required level, is an inherent requirement for this role
- Proficient with ETL, SQL/MySQL, XML, Microsoft Excel, stored procedures or other data tooling
- Experience working with customers and/or team members and leading data requirements sessions
- Participation in a minimum of 1 full life cycle software implementation
- Understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including data requirements gathering, dataset migration, data reconciliation, and move to production
- Experience in a Data Conversion work stream on a software implementation
- Experience using GitHub, Python, and/or Ruby
- Prior experience with Workday data conversion technologies such as iLoad, EIB, Advanced Load
- Experience with AI products, prompt engineering and agent development
