Data Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced Specialist Engineer – Data to join a large enterprise environment in Brisbane.

💰 Rate: $1,000 per day + Super

📅 Contract: Until the end of 2026

📍 Location: Brisbane

⚡ Start: Immediate

This is a senior technical role suited to an experienced Data Engineer who can provide technical leadership across the design, development and implementation of solutions that improve data processing, integration, accessibility and reliability.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the design and development of complex data and engineering solutions

• Design scalable systems and assess technical design options and trade-offs

• Improve data integration, transformation, management and accessibility

• Provide specialist technical advice to stakeholders and project teams

• Drive automation, performance optimisation and continuous improvement

• Ensure solutions meet quality, security, risk and governance requirements

• Support cloud and technology infrastructure operations

• Contribute to technical standards, knowledge sharing and emerging technology initiatives

• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in Data Engineering / Specialist Engineering roles

• Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions

• Advanced programming capability

• Strong database, data integration and software integration experience

• Cloud technology experience

• Understanding of security, technical risk and quality assurance

• Ability to provide technical leadership and work with senior stakeholders

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or a related discipline
