Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer in Porto who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

🚀 What is this challenge about:

• Develop and maintain data solutions using SQL, Python, and PySpark or equivalent data processing technologies.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including code versioning, code reviews, development standards, and automation.
• Work with cloud-based data platforms and distributed data processing environments.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering processes, tools, and practices.

🛠 What we are looking for:

• +3 years Professional experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark, or equivalent data processing technologies.
• Knowledge of data modelling and data storage, particularly Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including Git, code reviews, development patterns, and automation.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Familiarity with distributed data ecosystems, ideally including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Databricks.
• Living in Porto (hybrid role).
• Fluent level of English and Portuguese.
