Data Engineer

Role

We are looking for hands-on Data Engineers with solid experience in modern data engineering practices, especially around ELT, dbt, Data Vault, and data migration.

The consultants will contribute to the design, development, migration, and validation of data pipelines in a structured delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Design and implement Data Vault data models.
• Translate business and technical requirements into reliable ELT workflows.
• Support and execute data migration projects, including migration from legacy platforms to modern data platforms.
• Build and optimize scalable data transformation pipelines.
• Implement data quality checks, tests, and reconciliation controls.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and technical leads.
• Ensure clean, modular, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and delivery governance.
• Investigate data issues and support root cause analysis.
• Contribute to best practices around CI/CD, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills – Must Have

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with dbt.
• Strong hands-on experience with Data Vault modelling.
• Proven experience in data migration projects.
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Good understanding of modern ELT principles.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable data transformation pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, documented, and tested code.
• Experience with data quality, testing, and reconciliation.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a structured project environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Experience in data platform modernization programs.
• Experience migrating from legacy technologies to modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience in insurance, banking, or another regulated environment.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in distributed or offshore delivery teams.
