About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Go Engineer with strong expertise in AI/ML implementation and configuration to join our client's engineering team.

This role is open to candidates based in the following locations:

Georgia, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, EU countries, Hungary, Lithuania, and Poland.

B2B employment, $4,000-$4,500 monthly

Language Requirement: English — B2 or higher (both written and spoken).

We are looking for engineers with FinTech or banking or Insurance domain experience and a proven track record of delivering complex system integrations. You will work on high-load, distributed backend systems where reliability, security, and scalability are critical.

In this role, you will design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go, take ownership of architectural decisions, and ensure high performance, resilience, and maintainability across the platform.

You will work at the intersection of backend engineering and AI integration, implementing or configuring AI solutions within production systems. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, external stakeholders, and fellow engineers — translating business goals into technical roadmaps, surfacing risks early, and driving delivery quality.

This is a hands-on, high-impact position where you will:

• Lead code reviews for senior engineers and uphold quality standards
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes
• Represent engineering in external discussions and challenge unrealistic requirements
• Mentor engineers and unblock technical deadlocks

Requirements

• 5-6+ years of Go development.
• Higher education in Computer Science, software development, or a related field.
• Extensive experience implementing or configuring AI within an engineering team.
• Commercial experience in FinTech, banking, or insurance environments, working on complex distributed systems.
• Scalable distributed backend system design in Go.
• Go concurrency patterns: goroutines, channels, and sync primitives.
• High-performance, maintainable system design.
• CI/CD tools and pipelines such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Readiness to work 09:00-18:00 CEST.
• Readiness to work from the corporate laptop.
• Readiness for live coding during the client interview.
• ✅ English B2 or higher.
