The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help stabilize, develop, and scale its healthcare platform.
The role is intentionally balanced:
- 50% Full-Stack Product Engineering — patient and care-management applications, workflows, UI/UX, APIs, and feature delivery.
- 50% Backend, Cloud & Integration Engineering — AWS, data, healthcare interoperability, DevOps, security, and reliability.
Reports to the Chief Technology Officer and works closely with Product, Clinical, Operations, and external partners
What makes you a great fit:
- 5+ years of production software-engineering experience.
- Strong React/TypeScript/JavaScript front-end experience.
- Strong Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or comparable backend experience.
- Strong REST API, SQL, and PostgreSQL experience.
- Hands-on AWS and Docker/container experience.
- Experience with CI/CD and production application support.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, security, asynchronous processing, and failure handling.
- Ability to troubleshoot across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain patient-facing and care-management applications using React/TypeScript or similar technologies.
- Develop backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and PostgreSQL-based applications.
- Improve enrollment, care plans, assessments, clinical workflows, communications, dashboards, and administrative capabilities.
- Build integrations with payers, HIEs, QHINs, and healthcare partners using REST APIs, FHIR R4, HL7/ADT, C-CDA, SFTP, and file-based interfaces.
- Implement data validation, patient matching, reconciliation, provenance, duplicate handling, and exception workflows.
- Build and operate AWS services including ECS/Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
- Strengthen CI/CD, automated testing, environment separation, deployment, rollback, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
- Implement HIPAA-appropriate security, role-based access, PHI protection, audit logging, and secrets management.
- Support governed AI-enabled workflows while maintaining appropriate human clinical oversight.
- Build reusable platform and integration capabilities that support additional payers, states, and clinical programs without creating separate codebases
- Stabilize production patient and care-management workflows.
- Resolve high-priority application and usability defects.
- Strengthen authentication, authorization, and PHI handling.
- Improve CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, and rollback.
- Complete development, test/UAT, and production separation.
- Expand application and infrastructure monitoring.
- Improve payer/HIE ingestion, error handling, and reconciliation.
- Reduce dependence on undocumented or single-person operational knowledge
