Do you want to contribute to the digital future? The IPS Global Group is looking for a Lead Analytics Engineer SME for APM (Asset Performance Management) to join our team and support delivery of advanced analytics, asset health, predictive modeling, and AI/ML solutions for the energy industry.
Your Responsibilities
Integration, Engineering, Analytics and AI/ML
- Analyze project requirements, support scope definition, and deliver analytics solutions within agreed project timelines
- Design, configure, and optimize mathematical formulas, algorithms, and analytical models for Asset Health, Health Index prediction, Condition Diagnostics, and Fault/Failure Prediction
- Train, validate, and deploy AI/ML models tailored to customer-specific asset datasets and operational environments
- Map source datasets and raw attributes to analytics input variables, optimizing asset health calculation engines and analytical algorithms
APM Implementation, Dashboards & Reporting
- Perform hands-on configuration and implementation of APM solutions, including Health Index analysis, customer-specific analytics, dashboards, and complex analytical reports
- Calculate and configure trend analysis, Probability of Failure (PoF) curves, risk models, and asset health models
- Understand the main asset groups, maintenance procedures, inspection templates, and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), failure modes analysis, and risk/criticality scoring
- Perform deep-dive analysis of historical and real-time asset data to identify KPIs, trends, patterns, and operational anomalies
- Analyze data from multiple sources relevant to APM, including historians, condition monitoring systems, test results, inspections, and equipment measurements such as DGA and dielectric test data
Product Development and Collaboration
- Collaborate with Integration Engineers, Application Engineers, Project Managers, and Product Managers to ensure successful project delivery
- Work closely with core Software Development teams to translate analytical requirements into product features and roadmap improvements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of APM analytics, models, algorithms, and product capabilities
Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management
- Engage directly with utility customers and end-users to discover business and analytical requirements and translate them into analytics specifications
- Present technical solutions, model results, and validate analytical model results
Your energy
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
- Proven experience in data analytics, data science, analytics engineering, mathematical modeling, or a similar technical role
- Strong programming and data analysis skills in Python and SQL/T-SQL, and C#
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML model development, validation, and deployment
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, MATLAB, or similar analytics and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, algorithms, and data-driven decision-making
- Experience working with large, complex, and heterogeneous datasets, including historical and real-time operational data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into practical business and engineering insights
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments is an advantage
Nice to have
- Knowledge of power utility assets and TSO/DSO operations is highly desirable but not mandatory
