About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Contractor with strong hands-on expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) and ETL processes to support our data engineering and analytics initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven professional who thrives working independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data transformation models using DBT
  • Develop, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data flow
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across transformation layers
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues on time
  • Document data models, transformations, and workflows for team visibility
  • Support Business Intelligence reporting needs where applicable

Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Proven expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) - model development, testing, and deployment
  • Strong ETL knowledge, including pipeline design, data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
