Position Description

  • Based in the Business Intelligence team at the City West campus
  • Full-time 24 month fixed term contract
  • Salary Range: $103,719 - $116,002 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

The team

This role forms part of Business Intelligence team within the Performance, Data and Insights Function and is aligned to the Corporate Portfolio within the University. The Data Engineer will work most closely with the Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Director, Business Intelligence, and the IT and Finance teams.

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in data manipulation, preparation, and integration
  • Experience in designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines, models, and processes
  • Proficiency in data management and business intelligence concepts and practices
  • Experience with data manipulation tools and/or programming languages such as Power Query, Alteryx, SQL, and R
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, expectations, and relationship management
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
