Compensation: $260,000–$300,000 + equity package.

The product is live and the data surfaces are growing faster than the pipeline was built to handle. System stability under that growth is the real engineering problem here.

This is a fast-scaling company building AI agents that automate high-volume operational workflows. A small data team owns everything downstream of that: pipelines, quality checks, core data models, and the infrastructure feeding product decisions across the business.

The fit is a strong software engineer who's deep on data - someone who moves across services, debugs at the source, and owns outcomes end to end rather than a single layer of the stack.

What you'll do

• Own the data pipeline completely: design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and ETL processes
• Build large-scale pipelines that process high volumes reliably against clear quality standards
• Design core data objects and models used across the organisation
• Optimise data flow for product, operations, and analytics teams
• Implement data quality monitoring and alerting
• Develop client-facing reporting and metrics datasets

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional data engineering experience
• Strong coding foundations in Python, Java, and/or SQL
• Solid ETL design and implementation experience
• Working knowledge of data warehousing, particularly Snowflake
• High ownership, comfortable with ambiguity, genuinely scrappy
• On-site in NYC (strongly preferred; SF considered only for truly exceptional candidates)
