About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to building the next generation of medical diagnostic solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant data infrastructure that supports our AI-driven healthcare innovations. You will work with high-frequency physiological and clinical data, creating robust data pipelines, and supporting the deployment of machine learning models from research environments into production settings. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams—including software developers, clinical experts, and regulatory professionals—is essential to ensure the seamless integration of data solutions into our products. Your expertise will directly impact the development of reliable diagnostic tools that can revolutionize cardiovascular healthcare.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with over five years of experience in building secure, compliant cloud-based data ecosystems within regulated domains. Hands-on experience working with time-series, sensor, or biomedical/wearable data is essential, along with strong knowledge of statistical programming languages. You should have a solid understanding of machine learning techniques applicable to classification, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling using high-frequency data. Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript, and experience with orchestration frameworks, data infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with medical data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM), encryption standards, and secure authentication practices will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure data ingestion and transformation pipelines, including automated ingestion, validation, lineage tracking, and quality monitoring.
- Create and manage reusable data libraries, transformation logic, and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Implement and uphold compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act (EU), and HIPAA (US), including role-based access control, data encryption, anonymization, pseudonymization workflows, and consent management.
- Participate in security audits, compliance reviews, and certification efforts to maintain high standards of data security and regulatory adherence.
- Operationalize AI pipelines by deploying models, monitoring performance, handling data drift, managing versioning, and automating retraining processes.
- Deploy explainable AI tools (e.g., SHAP, LIME) within pipelines for auditability and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows for data and machine learning workloads.
- Develop Python-based analytics scripts, reusable data modules, and feature engineering logic to facilitate data analysis and model development.
- Support visualization of workflows and ensure reproducibility and traceability of models throughout their lifecycle.
