Senior Data Engineer
London | Systematic Hedge Fund
An leading global systematic hedge fund are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its London-based Data Engineering team.
Technology is central to the firm's investment process, and you'll build the platforms that ingest, transform and distribute market, reference and alternative data used by quantitative researchers and portfolio managers.
What you'll do
- Build scalable ELT pipelines and data platforms
- Develop real-time streaming solutions for tick data
- Modernise legacy systems with cloud-native technologies
- Enhance internal data services and work across the full software lifecycle
Tech stack: Python • SQL • Snowflake • dbt • Kafka • AWS • Docker • Linux • Apache Flink • Iceberg
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field
- 5+ years' experience in Data or Software Engineering
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with Linux and Docker
