Consumer Cellular is seeking skilled Senior Data Engineers who thrive in a highly collaborative, agile team environment. You will need to reside within 50 miles of our Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ as this role has the option of hybrid or onsite.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data engineering and cross-functional teams to build and deliver custom enterprise data warehousing and database solutions.
- Accurately estimate tasks, bugs, and spikes in your domain.
- Develop software that meets code quality standards and metrics.
- Build productive internal/external working relationships.
- Effectively manage risk, change, and uncertainty with support from your leader and peers.
- Build a solid understanding of inter-team functional data dependencies and navigate appropriate communication channels for solving issues as they arise.
- Design and implement new features while continuously improving quality of technical data products and database applications.
- Act as a technical expert and engineer on an agile squad.
- Create and execute long term vision of technical data products and database applications.
- Drive the architectural solutions across data warehousing and transactional databases.
- Develop and Lead communities of practice by mentoring engineers, creating, and enforcing standards, reviewing others code, and sharing knowledge and know-hows.
- Remain current on new cloud data solutions, design patterns, products, and development trends.
- Assist with problem resolution for customers and end users.
- Other duties, as maybe assigned.
- Expert knowledge of data engineering, database solution design, solid principles of data modeling.
- Experience 5+ years in data engineering and database technologies
- Experience in developing reusable common component data artifacts.
- Experience with Data Engineering and Cloud products
- Experience in various Data Engineering Methodologies and Data Warehousing Models
- Experience in data governance and security best practices
- Experience in data accessibility best practices
- Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Team Player and a Coach
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable
- Experience in SQL, Python and Enterprise Data Warehousing
- Proficient in Azure or similar cloud technologies – Data Factory, Data Lake, Function App.
- Experience in building out ELT (Extract Load Transform) solutions
- Experience in SQL Server, Spark, Azure Synapse, Kafka or similar
- Proficient in writing SQL Queries and Python Notebooks
- Knowledge of one or more modern database data models, design and Reporting Data frameworks representative of ELT, ETL or similar
- Git HUB – Enterprise or similar
- Other Cloud Technologies for Data Engineering – Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric

Pay & Benefits Data (in accordance with the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act)
- Minimum Salary: $113,000
- Maximum Salary: $161,700
- Competitive base pay with potential for shift differential, overtime and bonus pay
