Tasks & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analyses, comparing actual results against prior year performance and current forecasts
- Build and maintain financial models, update forecasts, and create dashboards using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to track key performance indicators
- Support the forecasting process for all MDPI offices, ensuring accurate projections and communicating results clearly to management
- Collect and prepare financial reports according to MDPI reporting standards, supporting continuous improvement of reporting processes and data quality
- Collaborate with AR and Accounting teams to validate revenue booking and streamline the month-end closing process
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support new projects related to financial reporting and analysis
- Participate in the consolidation of the group's financial statements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, or business economics (Master's degree or Swiss federal certificate in finance/accounting is a plus)
- 2+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Controlling, Reporting, or Corporate Finance
- Experience with forecasting and variance analysis is essential; international company experience is advantageous
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft O365, Power BI, SQL, and financial analysis tools
- English proficiency at C1 level required; German at B1 level or higher
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to transform financial data into practical insights and communicate findings effectively
