Merchandising & Inventory Manager – Natuzzi Americas
Role Purpose
The Merchandising & Inventory Analyst supports Natuzzi’s product strategy by ensuring accurate inventory visibility, optimized stock levels, and data‑driven merchandising decisions across U.S. retail and wholesale channels. This role is the analytical backbone of the merchandising function — enabling the Merchandising Manager, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to make timely, informed decisions that protect margin, reduce aging inventory, and support showroom readiness.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities (Natuzzi‑specific)
- Inventory Performance Analysis Monitor stock levels, aging, GMROI, and sell‑through across Natuzzi’s U.S. stores and distribution centers. Flag risks early (overstock, understock, slow movers).
- SKU Governance Maintain SKU accuracy in SAP/ERP and ensure alignment with Italy’s master data (pricing, configurations, leather/fabric codes, finish options).
- Assortment & Line Review Support Provide data for assortment decisions, including style/color performance, regional preferences, and showroom productivity.
- Demand Forecasting Build forecasts using historical sales, promotional calendars, and lead‑time constraints from Italy and Mexico production.
- Aging Inventory Management Identify aging inventory and propose actions (markdowns, transfers, liquidation, showroom swaps) in partnership with Retail Ops and Finance.
- Pricing & Margin Analysis Support pricing updates, promotional planning, and margin protection strategies.
- Showroom Support Provide data to guide showroom product placement, new product introductions, and discontinued item removal.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Italy HQ to ensure alignment and timely execution.
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Analytics, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years in inventory management, merchandising analytics, or retail operations
- Strong Excel and BI proficiency (Power BI preferred)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
- Furniture or home‑furnishings experience ideal
- Strong analytical storytelling skills — ability to turn data into decisions
