Position responsibilities:
Reporting & Data Operations:
- Run and maintain established reports, dashboards, queries, and extracts
- Execute recurring data pulls for leadership, audits, compliance, and firmwide initiatives
- Validate output accuracy and reconcile data discrepancies
- Operate and maintain repeatable scripts, jobs, and API based processes built by senior staff
- Execute batch jobs (e.g., report runs, data refreshes, operational maintenance tasks)
- Monitor performance, log results, and escalate issues, as needed
- Support data requests related to AI tools, governance initiatives, cloud readiness, and analytics
- Assist with documentation and reproducibility of data processes
- Provide operational support during high volume or time sensitive initiatives
- Ensure data handling complies with confidentiality, risk, and policy requirements
- Follow documented procedures and assist in improving operational resilience
- Maintain organized runbooks, trackers, and execution records
- Build familiarity with APIs, reporting platforms, data tools, and automation workflows
- Gain exposure to AI related data preparation and governance concepts
- Partner closely with senior technical staff to expand technical depth over time
- All other duties as assigned or required
- After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
- Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
- Ability to travel, as required
- 3+ years of directly applicable experience (e.g., in data operations, reporting, analytics, or business technology support role, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with structured datasets
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in Python, SQL
- Familiarity with APIs, scripting, or automation tools, particularly as relates to dashboards and analytics
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience running reports or queries from enterprise platforms
- Familiarity with Excel, reporting tools, or data visualization platforms
- Interest in AI, automation, and internal tooling
- Prior experience building tools/models
- Entrepreneurial by nature
- High degree of accuracy, follow through, and operational discipline
- Ability to execute technical instructions reliably and independently
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate and solve problems

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $39.50 - $58.00 ($82,160.00 - $120,640.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
