Job Overview

HQ Pack USA is hiring a Materials Manager to manage procurement, materials planning, inventory control, and supplier performance in a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting production by ensuring materials are available, inventory levels are optimized, and suppliers meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

This is a hands‑on Materials Management role in a growing operation where systems and processes are actively being built and improved.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage materials planning, procurement, and inventory control
  • Create and execute purchasing strategies to support production schedules
  • Translate production forecasts into material and MRP requirements
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing operations
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers
  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and corrective actions
  • Work closely with Production, Operations, Engineering, and Finance
  • Use ERP / MRP systems for planning, purchasing, and inventory tracking
  • Support new product introductions and production ramp‑ups
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives
  • Support sustainability and responsible sourcing efforts


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Materials planning
  • Inventory management
  • Procurement and sourcing
  • Supplier management
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP / MRP systems
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations and leadership
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, changing environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting production planning and scheduling
  • Experience with supplier scorecards and inventory KPIs
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
  • Multi‑site or growing‑company experience


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000 per year (based on experience)
