Job Overview
HQ Pack USA is hiring a Materials Manager to manage procurement, materials planning, inventory control, and supplier performance in a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting production by ensuring materials are available, inventory levels are optimized, and suppliers meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
This is a hands‑on Materials Management role in a growing operation where systems and processes are actively being built and improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage materials planning, procurement, and inventory control
- Create and execute purchasing strategies to support production schedules
- Translate production forecasts into material and MRP requirements
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing operations
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers
- Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and corrective actions
- Work closely with Production, Operations, Engineering, and Finance
- Use ERP / MRP systems for planning, purchasing, and inventory tracking
- Support new product introductions and production ramp‑ups
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives
- Support sustainability and responsible sourcing efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- Materials planning
- Inventory management
- Procurement and sourcing
- Supplier management
- Hands‑on experience with ERP / MRP systems
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations and leadership
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting production planning and scheduling
- Experience with supplier scorecards and inventory KPIs
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
- Multi‑site or growing‑company experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000 per year (based on experience)
