Renewable Energy Business Analyst

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including photovoltaic (PV), wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and hybrid power plants. Working closely with development, engineering, construction, and management teams, the role will deliver business intelligence, performance analytics, and portfolio reporting that support project execution, operational excellence, and long-term value creation throughout the entire project lifecycle. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a diverse renewable energy portfolio while helping drive data-informed decisions across the organization.

Main responsibilities:

Data collection and analysis:

• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support management decision-making, project prioritization, and portfolio performance optimization.
• Design, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to provide real-time visibility into project performance.
• Analyze operational data and identify potential issues through predefined indicators and analytical methods.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, development teams and senior management to define reporting requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.

Business Performance Analysis

· Develop and monitor portfolio KPIs.

· Perform variance analysis against budgets, schedules and forecasts.

· Support investment and development teams with analytical insights.

· Prepare executive-level dashboards and presentations.

Maintenance and development of reporting and analysis tools:

• Develop and continuously improve automated reporting and analytics tools using Excel, Power BI and modern data technologies.
• Evaluate and implement AI-enabled solutions for reporting automation, data quality improvement, predictive analytics and decision support.

Automation and optimization of processes:

• Lead and support the automation of reporting processes and decision-support systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes through innovation and implementation of new technologies.

Portfolio Reporting & Analytics

· Consolidate data across all development, construction and operational projects.

· Produce portfolio-level performance reporting.

· Support management with scenario analysis and forecasting.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in business analytics, project analytics, data analytics or reporting.
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or construction sectors is preferred.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Power Query, Power Automate, Azure Data Services or similar analytics platforms is considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with large volumes of data.
• Experience with business intelligence, analytics and visualization platforms is considered an advantage.
• Experience with industrial data acquisition systems and protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus) is considered an advantage.
• English spoken (business proficiency level)
