Data Analyst IV

Location: Onsite 5 days/week - San Diego, CA

Schedule: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Duration: 1-year Contract (no conversion)

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst IV to join their team on a 1-year contract basis. This is a senior-level position requiring 8+ years of experience, supporting data collection, analysis, validation, and reporting across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong SQL and relational database expertise along with hands-on Power BI dashboard development skills to deliver actionable, decision-ready reporting to stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage and support data analysis and reporting functions within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing data collection, analysis, validation, and reporting
• Designing, testing, and documenting processes, SQL queries, and stored procedures
• Extracting and analyzing data from various sources, including databases, manual files, and external websites
• Responding to data inquiries from various groups within the organization
• Creating and publishing regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports
• Documenting reporting requirements and processes, and validating data components as required

Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:

• Build, launch, and maintain Power BI dashboards for stakeholder reporting
• Develop and manage reporting workflows using Excel and Smartsheet
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures against relational databases
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting outputs
• Partner cross-functionally to gather and clarify reporting requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

• Expertise in Power BI dashboard development and reporting
• Strong working knowledge of Smartsheet and Excel
• Experience with relational databases and query tools and/or statistical software
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple ad hoc and recurring reporting requests simultaneously

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8+ years of relevant data analysis experience
