Senior Staff Business Data Talent Analytics Lead

This is a highly visible role that will partner directly with senior stakeholders and Intuit's senior leadership team, and will shape how talent data flows from source systems through to executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
Talent Analytics Strategy & Data Ownership
- Own the end-to-end data strategy across talent analytics, including workforce planning (headcount, requisitions, planned exits, hiring projections) and talent acquisition (recruiting funnel, time-to-fill, quality-of-hire)
- Automate manual reconciliation processes to deliver a consistent, trusted, near real-time view of talent data
- Partner with People, Talent Acquisition, and Finance teams to keep talent analytics data aligned across systems
- Understand and influence how talent data is structured, stored, and moved across databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines
- Establish and enforce data quality standards so downstream dashboards and executive reporting can be trusted
- Identify opportunities to convert ad hoc or manual data requests into durable, automated solutions
- Design and build intuitive, high-quality dashboards and visualizations for people leaders, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders
- Translate complex talent data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leaders
- Continuously improve self-service reporting so stakeholders can find answers without requiring a one-off data pull
- Build and deploy AI agents (e.g., using Claude and similar tools) to deliver insights /reporting, automate relevant recurring analytics tasks, applying agent architecture thinking to scale delivery and speed up time-to-insight for stakeholders.
- Evaluate and pilot new AI tools and approaches for talent analytics, workforce planning, and people analytics
- Partner with data engineering to ensure talent data is well-structured and AI-ready
- Act as a senior technical thought partner to senior stakeholders, SLT, and Intuit executives on talent data and insights
- Manage ad hoc requests from senior leadership, balancing responsiveness with the discipline of the team's standard intake process
- Present talent data and insights clearly and credibly to senior and executive audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in business/data analytics, with demonstrated ownership of talent analytics, workforce planning, recruiting/TA, or broader people analytics data
- Strong hands-on experience with building and deploying AI agents to deliver Talent insights at scale
- Working knowledge of data warehouse, data pipeline, and data architecture concepts, and how they affect analytics at scale
- Experience automating manual reporting processes and building scalable dashboards or self-service tools
- Strong data quality instincts, able to define and enforce standards that senior leaders can trust
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations, translating loosely defined requests into structured, durable solutions
- Preferred:
- Experience with Workday HCM data and Avature or other ATS/recruiting platforms
- Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition or recruiting analytics teams on funnel, sourcing, or pipeline metrics
- Familiarity with People Data governance, security, and access considerations

San Diego $171,500 - $231,500
