POSITION: Sr. Manager CRO & Digital Experience

COMPANY: The Health Institute

REPORTING: TO: VP of Growth

STATUS: Full-Time Employee

COMPENSATION: $105,000 Annual Salary

The Health Institute is seeking a highly analytical, entrepreneurial Senior Manager, CRO & Digital Experience to own and accelerate our digital conversion engine.

Supporting a business investing $1M+ per month in paid media, this role will be responsible for ensuring the traffic we acquire converts as efficiently as possible. You will own conversion rate optimization across our Shopify ecosystem—from landing pages and funnels to product pages, checkout, lead capture, merchandising, offers, and key customer journeys.

This is not a role for someone who simply manages an A/B testing calendar. We’re looking for a hands-on operator who can identify problems, analyze customer behavior, develop strong hypotheses, move quickly into execution, measure results, and turn successful insights into lasting improvements.

What You’ll Own
  • Lead the CRO strategy and experimentation roadmap across the digital customer journey.
  • Optimize Shopify landing pages, product pages, funnels, checkout, navigation, offers, and lead capture.
  • Partner with Paid Media and Growth teams to improve post-click performance and overall CAC/CPA efficiency.
  • Analyze customer behavior using analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, funnel analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Develop and prioritize experiments based on business impact, confidence, and effort.
  • Improve digital merchandising, AOV, bundles, cross-sells, upsells, and offer architecture.
  • Optimize mobile experiences and remove UX or technical friction that impacts conversion.
  • Partner with developers, designers, marketing, creative, product, and external agencies to execute improvements.
  • Own initiatives from problem identification → hypothesis → build → test → measurement → implementation.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of experience in CRO, eCommerce, digital experience, growth, product optimization, or related disciplines.
  • Deep, hands-on Shopify experience is required.
  • Proven experience owning CRO strategy and experimentation for a high-growth digital business.
  • Experience supporting businesses with significant paid media investment, ideally $500K–$1M+ per month.
  • Strong understanding of paid media, landing pages, funnels, offers, UX, merchandising, and customer journeys.
  • Experience with A/B testing, analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, and behavioral analytics.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with imperfect information.
How You’ll Operate

We value people who move fast, think like owners, solve problems, and focus on business impact.

CRO isn't about winning tests for the sake of winning tests. Every initiative should ultimately drive meaningful outcomes:

More customers. Lower acquisition costs. Higher conversion. Higher revenue. Better customer experiences.

If you’re a hands-on CRO and Shopify expert who loves finding opportunities, solving problems, and turning data into measurable growth, we’d love to hear from you.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on CRO and eCommerce leader who combines analytical thinking, Shopify expertise, strong business judgment, and a bias toward action.

You’re someone who doesn’t wait for a perfectly defined project. You see a conversion problem, dig into the data, understand the customer experience, develop a hypothesis, and take ownership of getting the solution implemented and measured.

You thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information. You know when an idea needs rigorous testing and when the data is strong enough to move directly into implementation.

You bring:

  • Deep Shopify expertise and a strong understanding of eCommerce customer journeys.
  • CRO expertise with a proven ability to turn insights into measurable improvements.
  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to connect customer behavior to business outcomes.
  • A testing mindset grounded in data, but balanced with speed and practical business judgment.
  • Paid media understanding, including how traffic quality, landing pages, funnels, offers, and conversion work together to influence CAC and revenue.
  • UX intuition and a strong understanding of what makes digital experiences intuitive, compelling, and easy to navigate.
  • Exceptional execution and the ability to move projects from idea to implementation without unnecessary friction.
  • An entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset—you identify problems and bring solutions.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with developers, designers, marketing, creative, analytics, and external partners.
  • A relentless focus on business impact, understanding that the goal isn't simply to win experiments—it’s to drive more customers, higher conversion, greater revenue, and a better customer experience.

Most importantly, you’re curious, resourceful, decisive, and accountable. You care about the details, move with urgency, and take pride in making the digital experience meaningfully better every day.
