Position Summary:

This role focuses on Fuel contract pricing and will guide business decisions to desired outcomes through actionable reporting and knowledge for the fuel industry. The role is detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.


Exciting Details:

  • Pay: Competitive salary paid weekly.
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance offered the first of the month after 60 days of employment. 401k available after 30 days.
  • Schedule: Primarily M-F, normal working hours.


Essential Functions:

  • Analyze market trends to support strategic purchasing and sales decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to track key performance metrics against prior periods and current goals.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to produce competitive bids and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer behavior and fuel consumption patterns to inform marketing and budget strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports for senior management, summarizing key findings and recommending data-driven business actions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all commercial data consumed by the sales organization.
  • Maintains compliance with all PTL policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst, with significant experience in the fuel, oil, or energy industry.
  • Technical expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages, including but not limited to Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline required.
