Senior Business Analyst - Data & Analytics - Transformation

The opportunity

Our client is a large ASX listed resources company undertaking a business critical digital transformation programme, and they're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to act as a senior technical and analytical authority across the initiative. This role goes well beyond traditional reporting. You'll shape how data, integration and product analytics inform major transformation decisions at enterprise scale.

It's a high visibility position during a period of significant technology change, and it calls for the credibility to influence design decisions, challenge assumptions with evidence, and represent the data and integration perspective in programme governance.

What you'll do

• Act as the senior data and analytics representative within a major transformation programme, ensuring data quality, integration integrity and reporting continuity through cutover and migration
• Partner with programme leadership to define success metrics and benefits realisation reporting
• Lead data readiness, reconciliation and validation across legacy to target system migrations
• Own end to end analysis of source to target mappings and transformations across a complex, multi platform landscape (CRM, geospatial, Power Platform, data & insights)
• Establish and govern data definitions, lineage documentation and reporting standards across squads and platforms
• Build and govern enterprise grade dashboards, KPIs and self service reporting for business, product and executive audiences
• Contribute to the maturity of enterprise data governance frameworks

What you'll bring

• 6+ years' experience in data analysis, integration analysis or BI, including senior or lead exposure on large scale transformation or ERP/platform programmes
• Advanced SQL and strong experience modelling large, complex, multi source datasets
• Deep experience with enterprise BI/visualisation tools (Power BI preferred, Tableau/Looker transferable)
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT and master data concepts
• Experience operating in Agile or product led delivery environments
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage executives directly
• Python/R, cloud data platforms and data warehousing experience are highly regarded
• Prior involvement in large scale digital transformation or platform consolidation (mining, resources or heavy industry experience highly regarded)
