This is a high-ownership, execution-focused role for an experienced demand planner who wants to run a defined book of business with precision. This role will drive both the numbers and the data quality behind every retail account, with direct visibility into monthly S&OP and a clear mandate to make the demand plan — and the data underneath it — trustworthy.
This role reports to the Director of Planning.
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
- Build and maintain the SKU-level statistical forecast for all individual retail accounts.
- Lead account-level forecast collaboration: sell-in/sell-through review, POS data reconciliation, promotional and event overlays, and account-specific seasonality.
- Run the monthly forecast review cadence with account and sales counterparts ahead of consensus demand review.
- Own forecast accuracy (MAPE/bias) at the account and SKU level; diagnose and correct root causes of variance.
- Present retail forecast risks and opportunities in the monthly S&OP demand review in partnership with sales.
- Own master data governance for the Planning function: item attributes, account/location hierarchies, unit-of-measure conversions, and item lifecycle (new item setup, discontinuations).
- Audit and maintain the data processes that keep planning reporting accurate — forecast accuracy, bias, exception reports, and S&OP inputs.
- Catch and correct data issues before they reach leadership reporting.
- Partner with IT/Systems on data mapping and validation as Momentous migrates to Fulfil.io, including retail account- and SKU-level data.
- Own the Excel-based demand plan model at the retail/SKU layer — this is the primary planning tool today, and strong model-building (not just template use) is essential.
- Support the Fulfil.io ERP transition from the demand planning side: UAT, data validation, and process documentation for retail forecasting workflows.
- Provide backup coverage on other forecast groups during PTO/peak periods, as a secondary responsibility.
- 5+ years of demand planning or S&OP experience, including direct retail account-level forecasting; bachelor's degree required.
- Hands-on ERP experience, ideally including an ERP implementation or migration.
- Demonstrated ownership of data accuracy or master data processes in a prior role.
- Advanced Excel modeling — personally builds and audits forecasting models, not just operates templates built by others.
- Fluent in MAPE, bias, and forecast accuracy methodology; comfortable presenting forecast risk directly in an S&OP or executive forum.
- Strong working knowledge of retail account dynamics: buyer relationships, POS data, sell-in/sell-through, seasonality, rep group relationships, and promotional planning.
- Experience with Fulfil.io a plus.
- Prefers depth over breadth — motivated to build real expertise in a defined book of business.
- High accountability and strong follow-through; catches issues before they become problems.
- Comfortable owning both the analytical and operational sides of the role — forecasting and data governance alike.
- Growth Mindset and a desire for continuous improvement in their work and process.
- Agility with time management and shifting priorities.
- Our fast-paced, high growth environment creates a strong opportunity for professional development born from evolving experiences
- Competitive cash compensation plus employee stock options
- Health/Vision/Dental
- 401k Match
- Unlimited PTO
- Finish Line Fridays - finish at 3:00 every Friday
- Generous set of observed holidays (18 days of office closure in 2026)
- $1,000 annual perks program to support a high-performance lifestyle
- Access to Momentous products and merchandise
