• 3+ years in technical product management, including a product where the API itself was what customers bought
• You can read a spec and a payload, and work through endpoint design, auth, and versioning with engineers
• Experience in fintech, payroll, payments, or regulated transactional products
• Comfortable deciding on limited evidence: small customer base, early analytics, calls you make yourself
• Strong written English for specs, documentation, and partner conversations

Projects

You'll own our payroll payments API and the user interface that goes with it. The product is live in beta with a small set of paying customers. Your mission is to take it to a version we can bring to market with confidence and scale as demand grows. You'll lead discovery with clients and developers, define the roadmap and technical scope with a small engineering team, and see initiatives through from problem to launch. This remote role calls for a high level of autonomy, technical depth, and a strong sense of product ownership. Beyond the developer-facing API, you'll also shape the web experience our clients use alongside it, partnering with the teams whose systems it touches.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for the API and its interface, end to end
• Define the API surface with engineering: endpoints, contracts, and versioning
• Get documentation, sandbox, and guides to the point where a developer can go live without our help
• Join partner technical calls, turn needs into scope, and separate product from custom work
• Shape the web experience clients use alongside the API, with the teams whose systems it touches
• Track what matters: activation, volume, time to first successful transaction, reliability
