The Role
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Data Steward to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer data used to process and fulfill orders. As a Data Steward, you will validate customer information submitted by internal and external users, conduct research and data analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain high-quality data standards. What You’ll Be Doing
- Compile, research, interpret, and analyze data for business needs.
- Cross-check other systems to validate data.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy of data.
- Ability to work independently and to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, as well as the ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and dependability.
- Provide information to management for higher-level reporting.
- Complete other assignments as required.
- At least entry-level Microsoft and computer knowledge (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, as well as the ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and dependability.
- Some exposure to master data and SAP systems
- Ability to analyze downstream impact of master data and business processes
- Business/system process testing exposure
- A basic understanding of data governance
- Ability to support continuous improvement, always looking for ideas to standardize the data environment and minimize complexity
- The ability to analyze root cause of a problem with an unbiased approach
- This is a hybrid position based out of our Greene, NY office. This position will report in-office full time during a period of training and will transition to a hybrid reporting schedule once training is complete.
