Opportunity Snapshot: Revenue & Invoicing | SAP & Job Costing | Service Operations Support | High-Volume Environment

The Field Service Administrator is a critical part of keeping Cooper’s Field Service operation financially accurate, organized, and moving forward. This role owns key processes across purchase orders, service-order costs, job cost and revenue analysis, invoicing, collections support, and documentation while partnering closely with Field Service leadership and internal teams. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, financial discipline, organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced service environment.

With roots dating to 1833 and a portfolio of iconic OEM brands - Cooper-Bessemer™, Ajax™, Superior™ and more - Cooper supports over 22,000 units in the field globally. This is your opportunity to lead a key chapter of that story.

What You Will Do

  • Own the service-order administration process by reviewing customer purchase orders, confirming acceptable terms, opening orders in SAP, maintaining open-order records, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Track and reconcile job costs including labor, materials, expenses, and other service-order costs to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
  • Support revenue management and forecasting by preparing job cost/revenue analyses, applying contract-specific rate sheets and billing schedules, and communicating revenue changes and forecasts to management.
  • Drive accurate and timely invoicing by preparing invoices, validating requirements against customer purchase orders, and submitting invoices through customer portals.
  • Support the procure-to-pay and collections process by generating purchase orders, coordinating with Accounts Payable and vendors, and assisting with past-due invoice resolution.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and financial records for Field Service jobs, including supporting research, recommendations, and credit/debit memo preparation as needed.
  • Partner across Field Service and business teams to manage a high volume of work, balance competing priorities, resolve issues independently, and deliver accurate results within required timelines.

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting, billing, invoicing, and/or service/operations support.
  • High school diploma/GED required; additional education in accounting, business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business administration, financial documentation, and service-operations processes.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile information, identify discrepancies, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while also partnering with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • SAP experience.
  • Field Service Dynamics experience.
  • Experience supporting field service, industrial services, energy, manufacturing, or a similar service-based business.
  • Experience working with customer purchase orders, contract billing requirements, client portals, and revenue forecasting.
