What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary administrator, support contact, and escalation point for the organization's financial operations application systems and financial reporting platform
- Own each application through its full life cycle: installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, enhancement, support, and end user training
- Maintain, develop and update workflows, dashboards, saved reports, roles, and permissions within financial operations applications
- Ensure responsible use of artificial intelligence in financial workflows consistent with organizational policy, data privacy requirements, and audit expectations
- Support month end and year end close from a systems standpoint, including processing schedules, batch jobs, and period management
- Plan, test, and validate upgrades, additions and patches; coordinate maintenance windows, test plans, and rollback plans before changes reach production
- Conduct periodic audits of user access and application licensing to improve security and control software spend
- Research and remain current with emerging technologies relevant to financial operations
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science, or a related field is preferred
- Certifications in enterprise business applications, accounting software platforms, or artificial intelligence tools are preferred
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience administering, maintaining, supporting, and analyzing enterprise business applications, preferably financial or accounting systems
- 2 or more years of practical experience with accounting processes, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the month end close, gained in an accounting role or by supporting accounting teams directly
- 1 or more years of experience working with artificial intelligence tools or features within business applications, including evaluating, configuring, and monitoring their use
- Experience managing application upgrades, patches, and vendor support cases through structured change management
- Experience building and supporting integrations between business systems
- Experience writing reports and analyzing data; experience with structured query language or equivalent reporting tools preferred
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, or another regulated environment preferred
