Summary
The Quality Improvement Advisor serves as an internal facilitator, and improvement coach who partners with clinical and operational leaders to advance organizational goals related to quality, patient safety, patient experience, operational excellence, regulatory performance, and care transformation.
This position provides expertise in performance improvement methodologies, data interpretation, project facilitation, and change management to support multidisciplinary improvement initiatives across the organization. The advisor collaborates with leaders and frontline teams to identify opportunities, analyze processes, implement sustainable solutions, and evaluate outcomes. This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities and instead emphasizes coaching, collaboration, and continuous improvement across departments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a performance improvement advisor and coach for clinical and operational departments to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate quality improvement projects using established improvement methodologies, including Lean, Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA), root cause analysis, process mapping, and other structured improvement tools.
- Partner with leaders, and frontline staff to identify performance gaps, prioritize improvement opportunities, and develop action plans.
- Support organizational initiatives related to quality, patient safety, patient experience, operational efficiency, and other enterprise priorities.
- Analyze and interpret clinical, operational, and regulatory data to identify trends, monitor outcomes, and guide decision-making.
- Assist departments in developing meaningful metrics, monitoring performance, and establishing sustainable processes to achieve improvement goals.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary workgroups, committees, and project teams by coordinating meetings, documenting progress, tracking action items, and supporting accountability.
- Collaborate with quality, patient safety, and operational leaders to align improvement activities with organizational priorities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and other materials that communicate project outcomes and organizational performance.
Required
Education:
- Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration
- Experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, operations, or a related healthcare field.
- Experience analyzing data, interpreting performance metrics, and translating findings into actionable improvement strategies.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
