Job Title: Business Data Analyst / Corporate Advanced Analyst I

Location: Hybrid - Honolulu, HI (2 days onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months


About the Role

We are seeking a Corporate Advanced Analyst I to join our client's Corporate Analytics team. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to define business problems, prepare and analyze data, apply appropriate statistical methodologies, and translate findings into actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to define business problems, objectives, success measures, and project timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, prepare, and validate data from existing and new sources.
  • Perform descriptive, predictive, and, where appropriate, prescriptive analytics.
  • Apply statistical methods such as regression, correlation, ANOVA, chi-square, t-tests, and time-series analysis/forecasting.
  • Utilize databases, OLAP tools, SQL, and analytical technologies to load, integrate, and analyze data.
  • Identify data quality issues, anomalies, and potential root causes; determine appropriate solutions or alternatives.
  • Ensure analytical results are accurate, validated, reproducible, and properly documented.
  • Prepare dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and reports that clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present recommendations and insights to department heads, functional leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers throughout the project lifecycle and communicate project status and milestones.
  • Train and support others in tools such as MicroStrategy and Excel.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, data-driven team environment and perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related experience, or 2 years of healthcare analytics experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, data collection, and interpretation skills.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, reliability, and data sources.
  • Experience with dashboards, data visualization, and advanced/custom graphics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with OLAP tools and databases.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following: SQL, R, SAS, or SPSS.
  • Healthcare analytics experience is a plus.
