The role - Data Governance Junior Consultant
Responsibilities
As a Data Governance Junior Consultant, you will work at the intersection of business, data and technology, helping clients solve complex challenges through fact-based decision making. You will leverage data, redesign processes and apply emerging technologies, including Gen AI, to drive tangible business outcomes. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Explore and analyse data to identify root causes, patterns and improvement opportunities across business processes
- Redesign and optimise data-driven processes, from data collection and treatment to reporting and decision-making
- Define functional and technical requirements for new or redesigned data solutions
- Design, test and validate data products and process improvements
- Leverage Gen AI and other emerging technologies to automate and enhance data-driven processes
- Establish and enhance data quality and governance practices to support reliable, fact-based outcomes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams and technology specialists to translate business needs into actionable data and technology requirements.
- BSc or MSc in Management, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Up to 2 years of experience in data-driven consulting, analytics or similar roles, ideally in Financial Services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights and business value
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Familiarity with data visualisation/BI tools (e.g. Power BI) and process automation is a plus
- Exposure to Gen AI tools and frameworks is valued
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese.
