Supply Chain Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• S&OP Alignment: Analyze marketing sales projections and align them with manufacturing schedules to develop robust Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Importation & Customs Management: Supervise all import processes, manage customs clearance (Form M, PAAR, SONCAP), and expedite processes at Lagos ports to minimize demurrage.
• Inventory Optimization: Keep a sharp eye on minimum/maximum stock levels to achieve a zero stockout condition while proactively managing slow-moving or dead stock.
• Production Support & Compliance: Ensure just-in-time material issuance to the production floor while strictly maintaining GMP/GDP warehousing standards.
• Logistics & Distribution: Manage fleet scheduling, optimize distribution routing for finished goods, and track key performance indicators (OTIF, logistics costs).
• Vendor Management: Evaluate the performance of 3PL vendors, clearing agents, and suppliers using periodic KPI dashboards and scorecards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and Import/Export operations.
• Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry in Nigeria is highly preferred.
• Nigerian citizenship
• Deep, practical understanding of Nigerian customs documentation (Form M / PAAR / SONCAP), ERP/WMS systems, and strict warehousing compliance (GMP and GDP).
• Fluent in written and verbal English. Knowledge of local Nigerian business languages/dialects is a strong plus!
• Willingness to travel at least once a month for field visits to Lagos Ports (Apapa/Tin Can/Air Cargo) or regional distribution warehouses and regulatory bodies like NAFDAC.
