Job Title: Product Manager (Collections)

Location: Lagos

Description

• We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of collections products, systems, and customer engagement strategies across the loan lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for collections solutions.
• Improve collection, recovery, cure, and agent productivity metrics.
• Develop collection workflows, customer contact strategies, and agent tools.
• Manage integrations between collection CRM, telephony systems/dialers, loan management platforms, payment systems, and data platforms.
• Collaborate with Collections, Risk, Operations, Analytics, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
• Define product requirements, user journeys, processes, and success metrics.
• Lead testing, implementation, rollout, and continuous product improvement.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and responsible-collection practices.

Key Success Metrics

• Improved cure, recovery, and kept-promise rates.
• Reduced roll rates and collection costs.
• Increased contact, conversion, and agent productivity rates.
• Reliable performance of CRM, telephony, and system integrations.
• Successful delivery of the collections product roadmap.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in fintech, lending, banking, or collections.
• Strong understanding of the loan collections lifecycle and delinquency management.
• Experience with collection CRM platforms, telephony systems/dialers, and integrating both solutions.
• Understanding of APIs, data flows, system integrations, and Agile product development.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate business and operational needs into clear product requirements.

Nice To Have

• Experience working with secured lending products.
• Experience in digital lending, consumer finance, or microfinance.
• Knowledge of omnichannel collections, including voice, SMS, WhatsApp, email, and push notifications.
• Experience with SQL, decisioning platforms, workflow automation, or speech analytics.
