We Are Recruiting To Fill The Position Below

Job Title: Financial Business Analyst

Location: Yaba, Lagos (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Finance

Reports To: FP&A Manager

About The Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analyst with a proven track record of insightful and prescriptive analysis of business operations and performance.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact effectively with Big Data and bring an innovative, dynamic approach to financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze business unit performance to identify deep-lying primary and secondary drivers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business unit data analysts to evaluate the overall impact of various growth initiatives on performance.
  • P&L Management: Prepare Cash-based and non-Cash-based P&L statements to determine profitability by Business Unit and by Country.
  • Actionable Insights: Deliver analytical support and actionable insights to address complex financial questions and challenges from business teams.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Generate precise, ad-hoc financial reports as requested by the FP&A Manager to support strategic initiatives.
  • Risk & Outlier Tracking: Track outlier events and thoroughly assess their impact on general business results.
  • Unit Economics: Maintain the monthly unit economics report segmented by product and business line.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or a relevant professional certification (e.g., FMVA) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related financial analyst role.
  • Software: Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard accounting packages.
  • National Service: Must have successfully completed the mandatory NYSC program.

Key Competencies

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel (knowledge of Macros is an added advantage).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in managing treasury functions and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to assess complex financial situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Leadership: Natural leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a small treasury team.
