About Us
Ascent has recently been acquired by Acuity Analytics. This is both a significant milestone for us and a tremendous opportunity for you.

Acuity Analytics is a business with a strong global reputation, an impressive client base, and ambitious growth plans. We deliver deep insights and domain-led digital transformation to high-growth and heavily regulated organisations. To our customers, we bring a partnership that provides the talent, technology, and capability to enhance performance and operational efficiency.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Consultant / Principal Architect – AIOps & Observability to help drive the next generation of intelligent operations across a major enterprise platform. This is a hands-on, high-influence role split across two exciting initiatives: rolling out Microsoft Azure's SRE Agent and AIOps capabilities, and levelling up observability and cost efficiency through Datadog.

You'll work as a trusted architect and advisor to product and platform teams, helping them adopt modern SRE and observability practices — not from the sidelines, but directly in the trenches with engineers, product owners, and ops teams.

What You'll Do

Phase 1 – AIOps & SRE Agent Adoption

  • Lead a pilot of Azure SRE Agent and AIOps capabilities across selected product teams
  • Drive PoCs and guide teams through the architecture decisions and operational changes that come with adoption
  • Help automate incident management, root cause analysis, runbooks, and knowledge discovery
  • Push down MTTD, MTTA, and MTTR, and drive SRE best practices across the board

Phase 2 – Observability, Datadog & FinOps

  • Act as the go-to Datadog expert, shaping observability strategy and standards enterprise-wide
  • Help teams implement metrics, logging, tracing, APM, and synthetic monitoring
  • Run workshops and coaching sessions, including on Datadog's newer AI-driven features
  • Build dashboards, scorecards, and cost-visibility tools — identifying savings and helping teams balance coverage with cost

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Observability, or Enterprise Architecture
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS
  • Solid grounding in Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM)
  • Deep Datadog expertise
  • Comfortable scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Strong software engineering background with API-first and event-driven architecture experience
  • Bonus: exposure to Azure AI Services or ServiceNow integration

Who You Are

You can influence without formal authority and build credibility fast with engineers and senior stakeholders alike. You're comfortable in ambiguity, love challenging the status quo constructively, and thrive on turning ideas into action. You're a natural coach and change agent who genuinely enjoys making things run better.

Acuity Analytics enables financial institutions build smarter workflows, take sharper decisions and improve operational efficiency by blending domain expertise with AI-driven insights and digital i...
