Baptist Health is hiring a Financial Analyst to support our Pharmacy Department at Baptist Downtown location. This is a full time in-office position.
The Pharmacy Financial Analyst supports the department through drug spend analytics, contract compliance monitoring, opportunity cost analysis, and inventory management. Transforming pharmacy inventory, purchasing, utilization, and expense data into clear, actionable insights that advance cost management, operational stewardship, and informed decision-making. The analyst collaborates with pharmacy leaders, purchasing stakeholders, and finance partners to ensure analyses are accurate, transparent, and aligned with organizational needs.
As a Pharmacy Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Provide financial and analytical support to the Pharmacy department, including assisting department members, updating policies and processes, optimizing systems, and ensuring regulatory and organizational compliance.
- Prepare, validate, and communicate financial analyses related to pharmacy drug and operational supply expenses which requires extensive computer use and a strong working knowledge of various software applications and financial systems.
- Assist with predictive, impact, and investigative analyses by organizing source data, identifying trends, and escalating meaningful variances.
- Working independently to identify and resolve problems, communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, and apply knowledge of budgets, productivity standards, reimbursement, and financial operations.
- Assist with the maintenance of Direct Vendor spreadsheets and ensure all outstanding invoices are accurately tracked and paid.
- Entry and auditing of invoices in Workday as needed.
- Maintain current vendor relationships and have the initiative to pursue new vendor relationships that support value optimization and medication access as needs arise.
- Support the Jacksonville campus with financial operations and compliance responsibilities, including adherence to Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) regulations and the accurate and timely electronic receipt and documentation of medication orders.
- Support the production planning of the Sterile Compounding IVX Robot, which includes financial analysis and utilization review.
- Managing high-cost medications within Omnicell in partnership with the Application Specialist, including implementing waste-reduction strategies and monitoring high-cost medication utilization through Omnicell automation.
- Maintaining accurate Omnicell (OC1) pricing to support real-time inventory valuation and ensure accurate financial reporting across the health system.
- Assist with white-bag medication delivery coordination for pediatric infusion workflows.
