Brief Description of Duties: SUNY Morrisville is seeking a Coordinator of Institutional Research and Assistant Registrar. Reporting to the College Registrar, the Coordinator of Institutional Research and Assistant Registrar supports data-informed decision-making college-wide through the collection and interpretation of data related to enrollment, retention, student success and other critical data metrics. This position plays a key role in meeting reporting requirements for entities including, but not limited to SUNY, NYSED, IPEDS, and the US Department of Education. Additionally, this position supports the functions of the Registrar's Office by assisting with the awarding of transfer credits and student records maintenance. Student records maintenance may include interim and final grade collection, processing end-of-semester leave reasons, and processing student academic record changes.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate data collection and submission of required SUNY, NYSED, National Student Clearinghouse, IPEDS, and the US Department of Education surveys.
- Coordinate data collection and submission of external surveys including but not limited to College Board, NCAA, NC-SARA, US News & World Reports, Petersons, Military Friendly Schools, Open Doors, and International Educational Exchange.
- Prepare academic program review data sets and provide campus administrators, faculty, and staff with enrollment and retention data, as needed.
- Manage the IR Website content, links, and update published data metrics (dashboard).
- Assist with the evaluation and awarding of transfer credits, as needed.
- Assist with student records maintenance, as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree with minimum one year of experience in the collection and analysis of statistical data.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience in higher education is desirable.
