The Accounting Financial Systems team at Vashipra strives to automate everything in various processes in the Order the Cash, Procure to Pay, Fixed Asset and Reporting areas. We are looking for a Principal Finance Systems and Intelligence Analyst with overall 8 to 10 years of experience with at least 5+ years of experience in creating sophisticated visualizations using Power BI and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). This role combines aspects of Data Engineer and Data Scientist functions and AI/ML model deployments. Ideal candidate will have deep understanding of data architecture, engineering, and advanced analytics with hands-on experience in building data pipelines and translating business requirements and processes into actionable insights using reporting tools. As a key contributor to the finance systems, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify requirements, deliver solutions, ensure smooth operation and drive improved business processes and additional automation.

Responsibilities

The Principal Finance Systems and Intelligence Analyst will analyze Financial and Accounting data, generate business insights, and develop reporting. This position requires fluency in data modeling languages (SQL, DAX, and Python etc.,) along with the business acumen required to drive KPIs. This individual will communicate with various internal stakeholders and leaders, aiding in application of insights to business processes using reports.

• Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Report Generation: Prepare monthly reports for project owners and update the Power BI app to ensure data is current and accurate. Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders utilizing tools like Power BI and Oracle BI. Develop and improve data models and reports to support project KPIs.
• Data Cleaning and Preparation: Ensure data integrity by cleaning, validating, and transforming data as necessary, preparing it for analysis. Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all data deliverables.
• Advanced/Statistical Analysis: Develop and apply advanced data analysis techniques, statistical models and algorithms to extract interpret data, perform hypotheses testing, and develop meaningful insights and large data sets.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional team to understand business requirements. Present analysis results, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements or optimizations. Job role includes troubleshooting and resolve highly complex techno-functional problems. Work with business users to trouble shoot and resolve issues, answers business questions, and provides data analysis
• Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning: Apply AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) to solve complex business problems in domains such as recommendation systems, NLP, computer vision etc.,
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures, processes, customizations for ensuring proper knowledge transfer and consistency. Provide user training and support, ensuring business users are well-equipped to utilize the systems and reports effectively.
• Strong learning orientation so you keep abreast of the emerging business models/processes, applications product solutions, features, technology features – and use these to deliver value on a daily basis

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in finance, financial reporting/analysis or accounting domains.
• Six years of experience working with BI Tools such as Power BI and/or Oracle BI
• Strong experience with data modeling and designing efficient and scalable data structures
• Exceptional data mining capabilities across databases
• Expert level experience to create reports, dashboard and KPIs and present insights to internal teams.
• Query and analyze data within Snowflake, Oracle, and other Relational and NoSQL database
• Experience in working with structured, semi-structured, and un-structured data sets
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing DAX formulas to create dynamic and interactive insights in Power BI.
• Advanced/Expert work experience in building advanced Power BI metrics/KPIs and Dashboard
• Proven ability to conduct performance turning of Power BI reports and dashboards to improve query performance and reduce load time.
• Proficient in Excel – ability to write formulas, lookups, what ifs, power query, and charts.
• Strong experience with data architecture and ELT pipelines using various techniques and applications.
• Understanding of security models in Power BI including row-level security (RLS) and role-based access control
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Should have excellent documentation, communication, presentation, problem solving and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Power Automate for process automation and integration with Power BI reports.
• Working experience on Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion ERP will be an added advantage
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, decision trees, neural networks) and AI Concepts (e.g., NLP, computer vision etc.,)
• Familiarity with AI/ML Frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Karas, Scikit-Learn.
• Exposure and knowledge of SDLC, audits, SOX compliances would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience in embedded Python scripts in Power BI for more advanced data analysis and custom visualization
