A Supply Chain Analyst analyzes data and methods to predict and improve a company's delivery of products and services to its customers. The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the distribution process and exceptional analytics skills. They use interpersonal and problem-solving skills to gather information from different departments to recommend ways of improving the supply chain.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and track inventory metrics of individual branches to improve overall performance
- Assist in deploying new inventory strategies and measuring success of those decisions
- Create reports to analyze modifications performed on standard products
- Monitor supplier performance metrics
- Analyze material cost changes across supply chain
- Perform monthly budgetary analysis
- Analyze information to identify trends and communicate potential risks and opportunities
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, logistics or a related field.
- Knowledge of supply chain policies, processes, and procedures.
- Proven knowledge of inventory management
- Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to build and improve trusting relationships.
- Knowledge of Prophet 21/Activant and SQL a plus
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail.
