Manager, Business Data Analytics, Consumer Banking

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for providing data, reporting and analytic support to the Consumer Banking/ Digital Banking.

Individuals at this level have good experience database skills and a good technical understanding of reporting systems and data sets used by the team as well as a clear understanding of the business.

Support any questions raised by users of the reports with product knowledge and research of any discrepancies found in the data.

Key Responsibilities

MIS reporting & analysis

• Develop and provide daily, monthly and ad-hoc MIS reports.
• Data analytics for various areas, including production and timely delivery of reports relating but not limited to customer and product profitability, business opportunity pipeline and tracking.
• Compile and perform data mining from various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and developing expertise on data literacy.
• Analyze and synthesize data to make insightful recommendations to improve decision making or improve.
• Cooperate with business stakeholders to collect requirements and translate them into appropriate data solutions and reporting deliverables.
• Promptly develop and implement reporting solutions to meet business requirements.
• Design and build data visualization dashboards for monitoring and analysis purpose.
• Automating and streamlining the reports by independently identifying the opportunities.

Database management and operation support

• Operation support on data related when required to clear backlog, manage operations activities and handle ad hoc request/ issue.
• Maintain granularity level of Datamart support covering Collection, Fraud, Digital Operations and Support Center.
• Campaign & contest management support with commission calculation for customers and sales
• Partner reconciliation & commission calculation on monthly basis.
• Service reconciliation & payout
• Real-time support with Partnership and product and other teams for any ad-hoc requests to support the acquisition strategy.

Modelling

• Be able to provide statistical modelling such as customer segmentation; propensity; cross-sell prediction; collection roll-rate detection, forecasting, etc.

Project management

• Be ownership to lead projects assigned during work related to reporting and data analytics.

Budgeting support

• Support on budgeting aspects related to cost management and amortization for alignment with monthly business’s plan.

Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned that may not be explicitly outlined in this job description.

Job Requirements

• BA / BS degree or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking; especially in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics is a preference
• >= 5 years of analytical expertise in applying data solutions to business matters.
• Hands on experience with programming tools and technologies such as: SQL, Python, R, SAS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
• Proficiency in data visualization and related tool such as Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly motivated to discover insights, trends, and patterns through data analysis
• Strong data visualization skills, able to translate data finding in optimal visual summary to enable quick interpretation by business users
• Proficiency building reports and dashboards that distill data and clearly capture key insights
• Understanding of relational database and common statistical methods.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
• Highly motivated with a focus on continuous improvement and utilizing best practices in data management, reporting and business intelligence
• Ability to multi-task on projects in a fast paced, start-up environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work well in team environment and also independently.
• Knowledge in big data analytics is preferred
